You can relax knowing that our friendly, competent dental team members are dedicated to making your visit a positive experience. In addition to their formal dental education, our Canton dental team also participates in ongoing training to ensure they are equipped to provide the highest quality patient care available.
From our front office staff to our dental hygienists and dental assistants, our dental team members are carefully chosen for their capabilities and commitment to providing high quality care.
Michelle, RDH, Dental Hygienist/Clinical Coordinator
Michelle recently returned to the office after a 20 year break, during which time she raised her two sons who are now in high school and college. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty University and many of our longtime patients remember when she was first with us after graduating!
Her responsibilities include overseeing our hygiene program and coordinating the clinical details for patients undergoing treatment for compromised airway, sleep apnea and jaw pain. She is also our Infection Control coordinator and has helped to implement many new protocols as our office has addressed safety issues related to preventing COVID-19. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her boys, home improvement and home decorating projects, and playing with her corgi Omar.
Mary, Treatment Coordinator for Airway, Sleep Apnea and TMJ Pain
Mary will often be the first friendly smile you see when visiting our office. She is responsible for helping Dr. Danner in coordinating care and treatment planning for patients with compromised airways, sleep apnea, and TMJ pain. She also is our medical insurance expert, and helps patients navigate the confusing world of medical insurance. In addition, Mary also works with some of our outreach programs.
She is a graduate of The Shipley School and Skidmore College, earning her degrees in Dance and Anthropology, along with her degree in Dental Hygiene. Mary has had a lifelong love of dentistry, as she grew up in a family of dentists and worked as a dental hygienist for over ten years before raising her children.
She also has a passion for ballet as a former professional dancer and teacher. She is the proud mother of two teenage daughters who also share her love of dance. Outside of the office, she enjoys acting, fitness and Roman history.
Meredith, Dental Treatment Coordinator
Meredith is the familiar, calm voice who gently guides our patients through the processes of scheduling appointments, completing health screenings, and understanding treatment plans. She has years of customer service and retail experience and brings that expertise to our practice, including helping our patients find options to make dentistry affordable. She also works in conjunction with our billing and insurance claim service to help patients who have insurance to maximize their benefits. Meredith always says if she doesn’t know the answer, to something, she will find someone who does! We appreciate her organizational skills and her enthusiasm for learning.
Meredith recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Kent State. She loves to write and is an avid reader. When she’s not at work, Meredith loves to travel with her family and spend time with her pets, which include cats, dogs and a horse!
Ashley, Dental Assistant
Ashley is a Registered Dental Assistant who received her certification from Kaplan College in Texas after graduating in 2012. She is licensed to take x-rays, and she is currently furthering her education while studying to become a board-certified Expanded Function Duty Assistant.
In the office, she assists Dr. Danner with all types of dental procedures, including scanning and designing in-office crowns, along with helping with clear aligner orthodontics. She said she loves assisting with oral surgery procedures, and she loves seeing patients smile again leaving the office following treatment. She is also instrumental in assisting with the comprehensive diagnostics in patients with sleep apnea, breathing and airway concerns, and also oversees our pediatric airway treatment program. Ashley has received training in the VIVOS breathing wellness protocol from the Institute of Craniofacial Sleep Medicine in Denver, Colorado.
Originally from Midland, Texas, Ashley enjoys doing crafts and spending time at the beach with her two kids Colsyn and Paxsyn. A fun fact: among more than 600 attendees, Ashley was awarded “Most Fun Dental Assistant” on the 2019 Smiles at Sea dental education cruise!
Erin, Dental Assistant
Erin is a dental assistant who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Health Studies (with a minor in Healthcare Ethics) from Kent State University. During her undergraduate studies, she discovered a real interest in the dental field, and is currently studying at Tri-C with plans to go to dental hygiene school. In her current position, she assists Dr. Danner with all patients and procedures, and occasionally assists in our hygiene department. She is also an important part of our breathing wellness team, and assists in all aspects of adults and children undergoing treatment for compromised airway. She has received training in the VIVOS breathing wellness protocol from the Institute of Craniofacial Sleep Medicine in Denver, Colorado.. When asked about her favorite part of dental assisting she said “I love it all!”
At the office, Erin is considered a “techxpert” and we rely on her technical/computer skills to help out in all departments. This can be something as simple as setting up a music playlist in the reception area to troubleshooting an equipment repair for clinical procedures.
Outside of the office, Erin has varied interests: she is a Fish Hobbyist, along with being an online gamer (specifically World of Warcraft and Apex Legends). She also enjoys crafts including embroidery and knitting, and has ideas about starting a knitting group for dental professionals.
