A veneer is a thin, custom-fit porcelain shell designed to cover the front side of a tooth. Veneers are made by a dental lab technician, usually in a dental lab, working from a model provided by Dr. Danner.

 

In addition to the traditional porcelain veneer, our office now offers a second veneer option to our patients: Lumineers. Lumineers are made of the thinnest porcelain material available today, which provides an end result that does not look "bulky" or "thick" (a complaint with some traditional veneer makeovers).

 

Lumineers typically require very little tooth structure to be removed and, for most patients, is virtually painless. Another great aspect of Lumineers is that they can be placed over existing crowns or bridgework without having to replace them.
