Three area high school graduates have received scholarships from Danner Dental. Andrew Gansmiller of Jackson Township will attend Case Western Reserve University with a major in chemistry; Michael Schmidt of Jackson Township will attend the University of Cincinnati with a major in mechanical engineering; and Sarah Wade of Louisville will attend the University of Akron with a major in biomedical engineering.

 

"We are excited to support these deserving students in the pursuit of their higher education, knowing they will one day have a great impact on their surrounding communities," said Dr. Jeff Danner, who initiated the scholarship program in 2006 as a way to give back to the local community.

 

Scholarship winners were selected based on merit, community service, and academic achievement, as well as their plans to pursue the dental, medical or other science-related field. Scholarships are awarded annually to Stark County high school seniors meeting the selection criteria. Applications for the 2010 Danner Dental Scholarships can be downloaded here.
