2010 DANNER DENTAL SCHOLARSHIPS NAMED
Stephanie Douglas Lauren Rife Jordyn Geiger
Three area high school graduates have received the 2010 Danner Dental Scholarship. Lauren Rife of North Canton will attend Ohio Northern University with a major in pre-medicine; Stephanie Douglas of Jackson Township will attend The Ohio State University with a major in zoology; and Jordyn Geiger of Perry Township will attend The Ohio State University with a major in biological sciences/pre-dentistry.
"We are excited to support these deserving students in the pursuit of their higher education, knowing they will one day have a great impact on their surrounding communities," said Dr. Jeff Danner, who initiated the scholarship program in 2006 as a way to give back to the local community.
Scholarship winners were selected based on merit, community service, academic achievement, as well as their plans to pursue the dental, medical or other science-related field. Scholarships are awarded annually to Stark County high school seniors meeting the selection criteria. Applications for the 2011 Danner Dental Scholarships may be downloaded here.
